The Massachusetts Medical Society Charitable and Educational Fund ("C & E Fund") knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. Please take a moment to review our privacy policy, which explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information you enter using our Student Loan Application Portal. What personal information does the C & E Fund gather?
Information You Give Us
Information you provide for our online loan application portal is intended for the use of only the C & E Fund and your medical school's designated loan officer in the process of evaluating applications for potential loans to be disbursed by the C & E Fund. None of the information collected is shared with organizations external to C & E Fund or your medical school.
If you supply us with your e-mail address, we use this e-mail address to send notifications regarding your loan (e.g. loan application status, upcoming loan payment reminders, account past due notifications, etc.).
If you make a loan payment using the Student Loan Application Portal we will also ask for payment information such as credit card type and number. This information will be used by our online payment processing vendor, First Data, to process your payment. Your security is our priority and we employ advanced technology to protect personal information collected online against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures may include, among others, encryption, physical access security, and other appropriate technologies. As an added level of protection, your credit card information will not be stored in our servers after your payment has been completed.
